Gloria Lanuza, performance artist, teacher and choreographer, has trained and performed with her extended family of accomplished artists since childhood. At age six, Gloria began her formal dance training at the San Diego Ballet and Academia Flamenca in San Diego. Gloria graduated from the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts where she focused on Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Choreography, Martial Arts and choral studies. Outside of school and after graduating SDSCPA she trained intensively with many master teachers and performers in several cultural art forms beginning with flamenco and Spanish Classical/Folk Dance, percussion and cante. During her high school years Gloria also studied traditional Argentine Tango and was invited to join the professional company, Tango Alma. 

In college at the University of California, Riverside is where Gloria discovered her love of East Indian, Middle Eastern and North African cultures. She became fascinated by the ties these cultures have with flamenco’s dance and music. This new-found appreciation to the roots of flamenco gave Gloria the passion to study East Indian Classical Dance and Belly Dance. After years of studying classical and traditional dance forms in 2010 she decided to form her own performance arts company focusing world arts, entertainment and education. Forming this entertainment company and educational academy consisting of her talented filled family and other professional performing artists, has been a wonderful opportunity to collaborate and celebrate the arts together.

Throughout the time of Gloria’s cultural studies she also enhanced her technique and performance skills in other art styles including Limón, Graham, Horton, Salsa, Samba, Heels, Caribbean, Hip Hop, Burlesque, Cabaret and Jazz/Musical Theatre. Gloria also expanded into other disciplines including various forms of Martial Arts, Pilates (Balanced Body Certified), Yoga, Jazz and Suzuki Method Piano and Violin and Acting. She also is certified levels 4 and 3 respectively in the Salimpour school of Bellydance, in the Suhaila and Jamila formats. Ms. Lanuza also holds a Champion title for the Bellydance of the Universe Competition and a 3rd place title for the San Jose Latin Dance Competition in the Ladies Styling Category. Gloria consistently trains in every discipline she has dedicated time to learning, privately as well as at Stage 7 School of Dance, Malashock and Culture Shock Dance Center in San Diego.

Gloria also has many years of professional free-lance work as a featured performance artist and dancer in concert and commercial venues internationally. Her more recent contracts include work as a professional Musical Theatre teacher for an after School program developed by actor Tony Plana called Broadway Bound. And previously was a dance teacher for Malashock Dance Company's education outreach "Math In Motion" and a dance consultant at the Sunset View Elementary School in Point Loma through the San Diego Unified School District. As a performer some of her recent contracts include featured dancer of Bal Anat domestic and international tours, featured dancer and dance captain with Celeste Lanuza Dance theatre in her work “Solo y Juntos – Al Camino del Alma” for the 2nd annual San Diego International Fringe Festival, dancer and actress at the Summer Sounds-World Music and Dance for Kids Program at the Hollywood Bowl representing East Indian music and dance. Earlier contracts include work as a featured dancer/soloist for a new musical review “Zoot Suit Riot” with Theatrical Arts International, choreographer for the Southwestern Community College faculty concert, associate producer and choreographer for "UNLockeD" with Green Dot and Watts Village Theatre, principal dancer in the full length feature film Aguruphobia (SAG/AFTRA eligible) and as a company dancer with the touring Mystic India domestic tour and a featured dancer at The Battle of the Dance dinner show extravaganza in Anaheim, CA.

Ms. Lanuza is currently teaching and performing internationally as well as in her hometown of San Diego at various schools and with her companies and also with The San Diego Salimpour Collective, Arabina, Bal Anat, Brickhouse, The MKM Bollystars USA, Celeste Lanuza Dance Company, The San Diego Camarada, San Diego Belly Dance Company, Ooh La La Dance Company and The West Coast Cabaret. She also has recently started an endeavor called the WAO (World Arts Organization). Whether performing as a soloist or with her company, Ms. Lanuza’s mission is to establish and demonstrate integrity through profound respect and understanding of the world cultures and genres represented. Gloria Lanuza, believes that the power of creative expression can change the world. She knows that a well crafted performing arts and education experience can open people’s minds and hearts both intellectually and emotionally to begin a dialogue. Throughout her years of experience as an artist, Gloria is dedicated to developing exciting and unique approaches of fusing styles and cultures together to create an exhilarating experience in her classes, collaborations and entertainment extravaganzas.

   Brianna MuNiz

Dancer, Soloist

Brianna Nicole Muñiz, better known as “ Bee” began her dance studies at the age of five with Tap, Jazz and competition dance. She graduated from the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts where she focused in Ballet and also had the opportunity to work with guest choreographers Pablo Francisco Ruvalcaba Tovar from the Limon Company and Gloria Lanuza founder of Lanuza-Morales. Brianna Muñiz has recently graduated from Grossmont college with an Associates Degree in Dance.

Independently Brianna has pursued opportunities to work and train with Kathryn Irey from Stage 7 School of Arts in Classical and Contemporary Ballet, Pointe, Pas de Deux and Floor Barre, Kevin Patterson founder of The Academy Of Performing Arts in Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre and Hip Hop, Javier Velasco from The San Diego Ballet in concert dance and Swing, Brenna Monroe from The Jose Limon Company in Limón Technique and Repertory, Debra Noble from CSU Fullerton in Modern and Collin Conners from Cal Arts in Modern Repertory and Choreographic Studies. Also after graduating high school, Brianna apprenticed with Gloria Lanuza in Bollywood and Bellydance then joined her companies Divine Desi Dance and Raqs As-Salaam.

Bee’s Stage Credits include “ Zoot Suit” written by Luis Valdez with The San Diego Repertory Theatre and Thoroughly Modern Millie directed by Bill Doyle at SDSCPA. 

Brianna “Bee” Muñiz is a highly motivated individual and inspired performer who strives to show her love of the performing arts through education, collaborations and performances.
